THROUGH THE DANBERRY TREASURE CHEST

Our dinner auction for charity is an annual event, but the needs of children with chronic illnesses continue throughout the year. Danberry hosts a variety of fundraising events all year long, and together in 2010 we raised enough funds to donate $50,000 to The Danberry Treasure Chest. This is an emergency assistance fund set up at The Toledo Children’s Hospital benefitting families struggling with finances while their child struggles with a serious illness. Funds are administered through The Toledo Community Foundation and used for things such as a mortgage payment, back utilities, car payments, or in the worst of circumstances, to cover funeral costs.

What we do:

Each year we host a major dinner event at a premier location such as the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons. Both silent and live auctions highlight the evening and generate a major portion of the proceeds for the Danberry Treasure Chest.

With generous support from The Andersons, we have created a program for selling 4 different wines with the personalized Danberry Treasure Chest label. Donations to the cause are generated for the equivalent of each bottle sold.

Each year our branch offices host 6 to 10 fund raisers ranging from parking lot parties to bowling and golf events. 100% of proceeds go to the Treasure Chest.

What you can do to lend a helping hand:

1. Donate a good item or service to our next dinner auction ($25 minimum value). You’ll be given attribution in our program (and perhaps even a tax deduction!) Click Here for a donation form.

3. Stock up on Danberry Treasure Chest wines for yourself and as gifts! They can be found in a special display in the wine departments at all Andersons locations. Select from Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet and White Zinfandel. The good people at The Andersons will donate to the Treasure Chest for the equivalent of every bottle sold. (10% discount by the case).

4. Make direct contributions! Every penny will go to a family struggling with finances while their child struggles with a serious illness at Toledo Children’s Hospital.
